Se uni\u00f3 a la lista de Pueblos M\u00e1gicos del estado junto a Compostela, Jala y Sayulita, con una remodelaci\u00f3n completa a su imagen recupera el distintivo que originalmente obtuvo en 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un lugar \u00fanico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mexcaltit\u00e1n se encuentra en el municipio de Santiago Ixcuintla, muy cerca de su costa, y es considerada por muchos como la m\u00edtica Aztl\u00e1n donde la civilizaci\u00f3n Azteca comenz\u00f3 su camino hacia el centro de M\u00e9xico para la fundaci\u00f3n de Tenochtitlan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A esta isla conocida como la Venecia Mexicana se puede acceder s\u00f3lo en lancha desde dos embarcaderos, el m\u00e1s conocido es \u00abLa Batanga\u00bb al sur, a s\u00f3lo 30 minutos del centro de la cabecera municipal. El embarcadero de \u00abEl Matadero\u00bb se encuentra al oeste y est\u00e1 a 30 minutos de Tuxpan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La gastronom\u00eda es su mejor atracci\u00f3n, con deliciosos platillos de mariscos preparados al m\u00e1s puro estilo Nayarita.
